The Queenslander, who bought her 12-game entry through The Lott’s official app, was the only person in Australia to match all the winning numbers in draw 1540, held on November 20, 2025.

A Missed Call That Changed Everything

The lucky winner nearly missed out on the life-changing news altogether. When The Lott officials first tried to contact her Friday morning, she ignored the call — assuming the unfamiliar number looked “dodgy.”

“When I finally called back and they told me I’d won Powerball, I couldn’t stop shaking,” she laughed. “My husband and I are just sitting here in disbelief. I honestly thought it was a prank!”
